The Black Student Union is comprised of individuals who come from an African American background but it is not limited to just African Americans.

We are a group that succeed in whatever endeavors we come upon. Individuals that strive to recognize cultural, social and community affairs as a relevant part of life. We are a group that wants to help educate as well as cultivate the people within the group and those whom we come in contact with.

We have a strong emphasis on academic, cultural, social, political, and leadership development. The BSU presents cultural activities that influence changes in academic and social matters for the development of the student body as a whole, as well as students on an individual basis. In addition, the BSU is committed to promoting understanding, goodwill, diversity, and friendship among all people within the surrounding communities. We, as the BSU believe that change is vital and there is no room for complacency.

It only takes one voice to make a difference, so have the heart to be a part of changing our world.
